Kathy Rauch is a founder and principal in The
Satori Group, LLC, a women-owned business consulting company established
in 2000 to help clients identify, evaluate and effectively communicate
their value to target markets. The company’s diverse client
base consists of more than 20 organizations throughout the U.S.,
ranging from large manufacturing companies to not-for-profit organizations.
Some clients include Corning Incorporated, World Kitchen, The
Thomas Group, 171 Cedar Arts Center, the National Bureau of Asian
Research, Ignis Optics and Empower IT. Prior to co-founding The
Satori Group, Ms. Rauch was Vice President of Marketing for Salient
Corporation, a software development company, where her responsibilities
included the development of an integrated business plan, partnership/alliance
development and start-up of the Marketing Department.
Ms. Rauch’s background also includes five
years of Consumer Marketing experience with Corning Consumer Products
Company (now World Kitchen), where she held a variety of business
management positions. In her most recent role as Business Director
of Cookware, she had profit and loss responsibility for the Pyrex,
Corningware and Visions brands – a $300 million global business.
In addition to her Consumer Marketing experience,
Ms. Rauch has 12 years of experience in the telecommunications
arena, working in a variety of marketing and business development
positions with increasing responsibility. As Market Development
Manager for Corning Incorporated’s Telecommunications Products
division, she led a cross-functional team that developed and delivered
product and services to the +$200 million cable TV market. In
this role, she built the strategy that drove the Corning brand
into the #1 preferred optical fiber, deploying a full mix of marketing
tools. Her work was highlighted as part of Corning’s winning
application for the prestigious Baldrige Award – the nation’s
highest quality achievement. Her other roles in telecommunications
include Manager of Marketing Communications for Corning Incorporated
and Communications Manager for US Sprint in Washington, DC, where
she developed the Marketing Communications strategy designed to
create regional awareness of the Sprint brand. She also has lobbied
both for the U.S. Telephone Association and the National Cable
Television while in Washington, focusing on tax issues and deregulation
efforts, and working closely with senior Congressional and Federal
Communications Commission staff members.
Ms. Rauch has a double BA in Journalism
and Political Science from Indiana University. She is Past President
of the Board of the ARTS of the Southern FingerLakes and past
Vice President of the Board of 171 Cedar Arts Center. She is an
avid gardener and competitive equestrienne.
