Patti Odinak, Founder & Principal
Patti Odinak is a founder and principal
in The Satori Group, LLC, a women-owned business consulting company
established in 2000 to help clients identify, evaluate and effectively
communicate their value to target markets. The company’s
diverse client base consists of more than 20 organizations throughout
the U.S., ranging from large manufacturing companies to not-for-profit
organizations. Some clients include Corning Incorporated, World
Kitchen, The Thomas Group, 171 Cedar Arts Center, the National
Bureau of Asian Research, Ignis Optics and Empower IT.
Prior to co-founding The Satori Group, Ms. Odinak
was Senior Manager of Trade Marketing for World Kitchen (formerly
Corning Consumer Products Company), a leading, global housewares
company, where she managed the U.S. 3rd party retail business
for the $300 million oven/bakeware business. While in this role,
she tripled the promotional business at Wal*Mart, doubled the
business at Target and drove a 30% topline increase at Kmart.
Her brand responsibilities included CorningWare, Pyrex, Baker’s
Secret, Ekco, Cuisinart, Farberware and private label programs
such as Martha Stewart. Prior to this role, Ms. Odinak held a
variety of Product Manager positions for four national kitchenware
brands with sales between $60 and $100 million.
In addition to her Consumer Marketing background,
Ms. Odinak’s background includes 10 years of industrial
marketing experience. As part of Corning Incorporated’s
$500+ million Automotive Substrates business, she developed long-term
strategic plans and drove the development of a value-added strategy
whereby the automotive business could provide design and development
expertise to ensure its products were designed in to new automotive
platforms. She also worked in Corning’s Corporate Marketing
staff group, performing acquisition analyses, market segmentation
studies, market opportunity assessments and developed marketing
strategies for a number of Corning businesses.
As Product Manager for XENERGY Inc., a Boston-based
energy consulting and management firm, Ms. Odinak developed the
business plan and pricing strategies, as well as directed all
product efforts including software design, engineering and marketing
communications for one of the company’s major product lines.
Ms. Odinak has a BA in Philosophy and Business
Economics from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. She is Past
Vice President of the Board of 171 Cedar Arts Center and serves
on the Board of the Science and Discovery Center.
